Court DATE Set ****UPDATE****

OCTOBER 20TH (USA TIME ZONE)OCTOBER 21ST (JAPAN TIME ZONE)
we have 11 business days until court date. so far Tony, Atty, Judge, and Prosecutor will be attending court date only- not sure if Gladys can attend or not.
We need to get all character references by the 9th (this friday) to them via fed ex. Whatever political or business Character reference we can get the better. Also we need to translate all ref letters to japanese. if someone could type all the ref letters and email them to me, i will get them translated and sent to Gladys - they will have someone verify the translation.
we need to contact state reps, congressmen, mayor etc to give us a letter of support or plea on behalf of tony.
i tried with Kay bailey and it is not her policy to give "support" letters. only to those to which she has a direct relationship with.
left a message with john cornyn's office - texas senator. left a message with charles gonzales -district congressman

John Cornyn office has replied, they will look into sending a letter - they are aware of the deadline-will post more when i get confirmation

Court appointed attorney
I just found out from Dad and Gladys via video conference that Tony took a court appointed attorney.
Attorney Status - 2:47AM
looks like there are three options so far, keep praying for more options and that the right atty be found in a reasonable time. here are the three "potentials"
Cindy (fiance of Gladys's brother) works for large firm in dallas, looking into satellite office in Japan
my sister in law's church has missionary coordinator who knows some atty's in japan - waiting to hear back from them

they are gonna find out sometime on their own.
suprized they haven't already. guess the Big Man upstairs is putting His ninja stealth moves on them…sweet
any thoughts? suggestions? ideas?

Another Contact ***UPDATE***
Had lunch today with a good friend of mine from houston, his father is very good friends with a Senator, they are attempting to contact him now. Keep praying.

just got off the phone with him, his dad's senator, who reps him in houston, responded that we need to get ahold of Tony's district representative, and if we couldnt he would call Tony's representative for us.
Col John Matney Report
Spoke with Col Matney this morning, has a contact in Corpus Christi Texas who is long time friends with Congressman Solomon Ortiz. He will be pursuing that for us. will keep posted.

• They have not attained an attorney, a local Christain attorney is helping them find an appropriate attorney.
• tomorrow is the hearing, so PLEASE PRAY. not sure what time, will be looking into that.
When i do find the time, i would like to encourage everyone to stop what they are doing at that time, get together with whomever they are with and pray. So that we all will be praying at the exact moment together. just a thought. if you will be participating, it would be great if you could confirm this by commenting on this general blog post.

"Please have everybody pray for us it is very OVER WHELMING. we are dependent on this missionary Lori Hager, from Michigan she has been here in Japan for twenty years - a tremendous blessing. For anyone who does not, have stop or just thinking about supporting Missions, DO IT. I am ashamed to admitt that tony and i have slow down to the point of stopping, SHAME ON US but as soon as we get back to the states we will get right back to supporting them. We have met so many missionaries who is willing to jumb right in to help us and that can be pretty humbling. as i write to all of you who is reading this blog please do not stop praying for us.
If there is anybody who hasnt, or just thinking about or has slowed down in being a witness, GO SOULWINNING it is our job to go out and show people how to go to heaven, how they need the saviour jesus christ. This has been one of the most humbling experiences of our life. Tony, dad and I know that God is in CONTROL and he knows the outcome of this situations. I know that GOD will have the victory. So im preparing myself for anything to happen, just don't stop praying please. we want to come home.

Status Update: Attorney Found & Donations Available
Don Sisk has found an attorney in Japan for Tony.
This is good news. Gladys and him still need to contact each other.
But thank God.
On the General Gallardo Message Board blog, a donation button has been placed for anyone who wants to donate. Those funds, unless otherwise noted, will be used for Dad and Gladys necessities...food, travel, legal fees etc.

Spoke with Chris Block, he has spoken with Don Sisk (he has been in Japan and surrounding countries for many years working with missionaries and officials of the country) gave a pastor of the largest church in Tokyo?? gladys contact info.
he would help in getting them connected with an attorney, he has some contacts for them

lets try and pull all our resources to make contact with any national political figures we can.
charles gonzales reps my parents. but if there is anyone else whose attention we can get the better. make sure and let them know of the important pivotal role that they will be a part of.

spoke with Gladys, grace fellowship church has helped and led them to a mission facility 20 min away from the airport. They have lodging and access to internet. tony has been visited by the embassy, tim ???, he is a Christian, saw Tony, had a good talk with him and said to keep praying.
he is strong and is relying on prayer n the holy spirit.
Keep sending character references, they are very important. if you know of a business associate or church associate (of Tony) please contact them to send in a character reference.

ok i got this information from a sales guy at work earlier today. these guys rent cellphones while traveling international, and they seem pretty cheap compared to normal providers.
